MAN ARRESTED FOR DRIVING OFFENCES

On 16/08/2025 at around 17:20 we were called to Overwoods Road, Wilnecote following a report of single vehicle traffic collision wherein there were concerns the driver may have been intoxicated.

Officers arrived and found a Grey Range Rover crashed into a hedge. The driver was pointed out to officers by witnesses and was suspected to be under the influence.

Checks revealed that he had also taken the vehicle without consent and was disqualified from driving.

The 40 year old male driver, from Belgrave, was arrested for driving whilst unfit through drink, driving whilst disqualified and other offences.

He has since been released on bail pending investigation.
